Monicka Clio Sakki
is an artist, designer and writer. She tries to engage in anything that combines plenty of colors, imaginative places and characters, while forming her ideal world of excitement and play. She starts from a pen and a little sketchbook and follows her artistic impulse into an unknown trail. Her main work is then to let something unexpected-happen.

Monicka's art fuses energy, colorism and designed sketches into a unique and playful world that draws a line from archetypal fairy tales to current pop culture. A native of Athens, Greece who developed her career in illustration and design in New York, Sakki believes in blending art, literature, humour and contemporary lifestyle. She creates artistic forms, later to be rediscovered in an ever evolving process. Influenced by David Hockney, Andy Warhol, Henry Matisse, Walt Disney and William Morris, her work is hip but mystical, witty but bold, and undeniably carrying her own signature.

Sakki holds a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications and a Master's degree in Liberal Arts, where she conducted extended study on the psychology of art and symbolism. Monicka is also an international design consultant, college instructor in her field, and published illustrator of children’s books. She started her own design and fine arts studio, MPress Productions, to deliver Sakki-Sakki art and products; and through these endeavors, she is slowly crafting her vision.

When people look at my work, I would like them to be inspired by life, creation and spirit. I want them to allow a piece of themselves to be transformed.
